What an amazing night for Jay Z? His wife announces her pregnancy and he performs, on the same stage, with the most conceited/arrogant/brutally honest/verbally fearless rapper...Kanye. Let's see, the performance was quite entertaining. For the most part, the duo received a standing room only reception. Not to mention, the stylish fan (the black shirt paired with the white jeans, was hot!) bum-rushing the stage and then aggressively escorted by security. The last time Jay performed with Alicia Keys, a crazy fan did the same. No! It was Lil Mama....same thing. In any case, The SS loved it! Take a peek.

Memorial Service for Amy Winehouse

On Saturday, July 23rd, Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London apartment. Her memorial was held today and she was cremated at the Golders Green crematorium, after the service. There were plenty of celebrities in attendance and The SS was able to locate this pic of Kelly Osborne. It is such a shame to lose someone at such a young age. She was a creative and quite entertaining artist. R.I.P. Amy!

She has the babies (boy and girl), an American Idol gig, ex-husbands, etc. Come on...you know that her and Diddy are in love. They may not get married and then again, you never know. However, an "Oprah and Stedman" setup could be inevitable.

Syvester Stallone and Mike Tyson were inducted into the Hall of Fame. These are two men from entirely different backgrounds, with pseudo similar careers receiving the same honor. Sylvester Stallone played the part of a boxer for many years, as Rocky Balboa (a boxer from Philadelphia). Mike Tyson was a boxer, knocking opponents out in seconds and frustrating attendees with expensive tickets. Both men added style, excitement and intrigue to the boxing world. Congratulations!

The simplicity of Princess Kate's style was breath-taking. A couture gown, simple manicure, timeless makeup, no-fuss hair, vintage tiara...Kate looked gorgeous. What's in a Wig?

**From the Desk of The Style Sage**

The SS has to talk about it! The wig craze is sweeping the nation. You are sure to see, today alone, at least 5 wig adorners in your path. In most cases, wigs serve a miraculous purpose (illness, hair breakage, genetics, etc). The SS wants to address the "enhancement factor." Please ensure the following:

1. Purchase your wig, as you would a diamond (cut, clarity or transparent to others, color and carat or size). There's nothing worse than a tight wig, wrong color, bad cut and it looks fake. Ouch!

2. If possible, leave the synthetic piece in the store. Um...it looks fake, unless you have a good eye.

3. Ensure that you have the correct adhesive for your lacefront (fake edges blowing in the wind---not cute!)

4. Wig cap, net, braided & wig glued to your hair....whatever! Make sure it is flat, on top of your head. Save the conehead look for SNL.

5. If the wig is sewn to your head, PLEASE make 2 months your limit. The SS does not want to see your new growth and dirty hair peeking through your wig. Plus, you using sharp objects to scratch your roots is painful for sore eyes.

The SS is a big fan of accessories. However, there is a trick to this style enhancer......POP! When you accessorize your outfit, think about the focal point. The item that will cause a double-take or a stare-down. As it relates to women, the list is endless: a hot pair of shoes or boots, a handbag, a hat accented with a brooch, jewelry, belt, etc.

Although the gentlemen may not have as many options, trust The SS...heads will still turn. Men, it is best to invest in a designer item: tie (bold stripes, pattern, nice texture, great color), DESIGNER shoes (Ferragamo, Gucci, Prada), belt (Hermes, Gucci, etc.), french-cuff shirt with cufflinks, well-groomed hair, smelling scrumptous, etc. My, my, my...

The key is to keep it simple, Ladies and Gents. This is your Wellness Wednesday Style tip.
